Personal History and Interests
Leanne is a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW), registered play therapist- supervisor, and infant family specialist, who has been working with children, adolescents, and adults since 2002; her primary focus has been children and adolescents.She earned a Bachelor of Art degree in psychology with a minor in sociology from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania and her Master of Social Work with a specialization in child welfare from Arizona State University. Leanne has worked extensively with individuals who have experienced a variety of trauma, grief and loss, and abuse issues.She has specialized training in both play therapy and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR). In addition to play therapy and EMDR, Leanne uses cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapeutic interventions to help individuals achieve emotional wellbeing and overall quality of life.
Leanne is a member of the National Association of Social Workers, Infant Toddler Mental Health Coalition of Arizona, and the Arizona Branch of the Association for Play Therapy.
