Megan (Meg) Jimenez, FNP-C

Meg Jimenez, FNP-C knew during her undergraduate education that she not only wanted a career in healthcare, but she also wanted to provide care for children. She graduated from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth completing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing with a minor in child development. Meg then attended Grand Canyon University in Phoenix where she earned a Master of Science, Nursing as a family nurse practitioner (FNP).

Meg joined DMG Children’s Rehabilitative Services in 2024 and is part of the High Risk Infant Follow Up Clinic team and also provides primary care to children of all ages. She is certified (FNP-C) by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

When asked about her care philosophy, Meg quotes Myrtle Aydelotte, RN, PhD, FAAN, who served as CEO of the American Nurses Association, director of nursing for the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, the first dean of the school’s nursing program and first female academic dean at Iowa. Aydelotte was also named a Fellow of the American Academy of
Nursing (AAN) and designated a “Living Legend” by AAN in 1994:

“Nursing encompasses an art, a humanistic orientation, a feeling for the value of the individual, and an intuitive sense of ethics, and of the appropriateness of action taken.”

When she is not working, Meg enjoys spending time with her family, friends and highly energetic Australian Shepherd. When Arizona weather permits, Meg, her dog can be found outdoors hiking with family or friends.
